Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) served as the 16th President of the United States from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. He successfully led his country through its greatest internal crisis, the American Civil War, preserving the Union and ending slavery. As an outspoken opponent of the expansion of slavery in the United States, Lincoln won the Republican Party nomination in 1860 and was elected president later that year. He introduced measures that resulted in the abolition of slavery, issuing his Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and promoting the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution. Six days after the large-scale surrender of Confederate forces under General Robert E. Lee, Lincoln became the first American president to be assassinated.

I’d like to live in American. First of all, I like the American’s environment, air quality and environmental protection is very well. But UK’s environment is not very good, and UK’ weather is always bad. Then, American’s goods are all very inexpensive, so we are very easy to live in American. And I like the United States people's mentality, peace, and friendly, helpful. No matter whether you are foreigners, even strangers, even if it's just the way by, and even if you didn't say anything, but through your eyes, they can always find the fact that you need help. Then they will give you help. But the British is always very arrogant, so I’m not very like England. Finally, I like the American way of life, they always organize parties, and I am very interested in party’s atmosphere. Parties can give me much pleasure. So I prefer living in the United States.本回答被提问者采纳
